About Mike

Mike Madeoy was born at a very young age. Having an uncanny, Mina bird-like gift for mimicry, Mike had learned to say "leave your number at the beep" in 37 different accents by the time he was 15 months old. Followed shortly there after by "Are you screening my calls?" and "I know you're there. Pick up." Due to a life-threatening allergy to blue crab and a deep, irrational fear of Cal Ripken, Jr, his family headed west to Issaquah, Washington. A long journey made all the longer by Mike's annoying "Kasey Kasem prank calling Rick Dees" routine that he performed relentlessly the entire drive.

Here began a period of professional experimentation for Mike. He tried dozens of careers. There were brief stints as a carnie, a soup station specialist at T.G.I. Fridays, and pellet stove salesman.

One day, his Mother told him about the world of professional voice acting. She also explained to Mike how you could use things known as "microphones" and "tape recorders." Though initially frightened and confused by technology, he eventually took a shine to the idea.

Star-struck and filled with ambition, Mike moved to Los Angeles where he honed his skills on the airwaves. His vocal versatility made him a sought after commodity in the hotly contested market of Southern California. He worked at stations such as KSOY in Bakersfield (The voice of the soybean farmer), KMUS in Vacaville (All poetry, all the time) and KRWN (Your 24-hour source for Renaissance fair information.) And he worked at some small stations, too.

After confrontation with a disgruntled listener at a live remote at a "Der Wienerschnitzel," Mike fled North toward normalcy. He now lives on a 40-acre compound in Issaquah where you can see the majestic Cascades just over the perimeter fencing. He has a wife and two kids that he loves very much.
